Is this year’s Chairman of the Board in Sweden Avalon’s Peter Mattisson?

We are indescribably proud of Peter Mattisson and his fantastic role as Chairman of the Board at Avalon Innovation.

He has been nominated as a candidate in Southeast 2024 for the national award Guldklubban (The Golden Gavel).

Peter, founder of Avalon Innovation, is an invaluable support to our CEO Helene and her CEO colleagues in the CIMON Group, and he is deeply involved in all our companies, always being there for us in any situation. Peter is also very engaged in the Swedish education system and committed to ensuring that modern and relevant higher education programs are available – for a sustainable future.

After the work of the county committee of the Board Academy during 2024, they have chosen these esteemed chairpersons as role models of the year in Southeast Sweden:

• Kronoberg County: Jennie Isberg, Chairperson of Växjö Lakers
• Kalmar County: Anders Friberg, Chairperson of Lindbytvätten – Rikstvätt Öland
• Blekinge County: Peter Mattisson, Chairperson of Avalon Innovation

Their contributions will be evaluated by a jury that will present the Guldklubban (The Golden Gavel) Sweden award in Stockholm on December 3rd.

The purpose of the Guldklubban (Golden Gavel) award is to highlight and raise awareness of the important role of the chairman by showcasing good examples of how it has been practiced in reality.”
