Sofia Hällgren – Product developer

Hi Sofia, tell us about your role at Avalon!

I started at Avalon Innovation as a product developer in 2018 and have since worked on in-house projects in that role and had the chance to try my wings as project manager. Right now, I’m seconded to a client on an exciting project.

How did you end up working for Avalon?

I had never worked as a consultant before, so taking the decision to start at Avalon felt particularly exciting. It was definitely the size of Avalon as a company that made me choose this particular consultancy company. In the past I’ve worked for companies where you easily become just a face in the crowd. At Avalon it’s the complete opposite. Here I’m a person, not just a resource or a deal, and I feel that I’m an important part of the company. I have had the opportunity to work with vastly different products and organisations, which suits a curious person like me.

How would you describe our corporate culture?

The best thing about Avalon is the sense of community! I feel that at my office in Västerås we look after each other just like a family. Even if we’re not working on the same assignment, I feel connected to the rest of the gang because we see each other for after-work drinks and at parties and office activities.

What’s your take on the future?

I look forward to continuing to develop together with my “work family” and Avalon!
