Rimgard AB develops security solutions for car rims, they are aimed at both private individuals and companies that want to protect their vehicles from theft of rims, which is a growing problem, especially in the exclusive segments. The locks are designed to be discreet, through customized design to the respective rim, so as not to disturb the appearance of the car.
They are made of high quality materials to resist different types of manipulation and attacks.
Their product consists of a module that is mounted in the centre of the rim, the module is fixed and protects the wheel bolts. Then, the module is locked with a cylinder lock, this way the rim cannot be removed without a key.

Avalon’s involvement in the development work has included design and construction. Primarily the design of Rimgard’s unique locking ring, which fixes the module in the centre of the rim. Several of Rimgard’s different modules have been designed for final production. The development of the rim lock for the Ford F150 has also included design to give the product an expression that harmonises with the F150’s design language.
Avalon has also been involved in the design work on Rimgard’s latest unique solution, Rimgard One. With One, only one bolt is locked instead of all (so-called spindle), making the product considerably easier to install and taking up less space.
